Some of the biggest boys in year 11 took the rope, pulling for Julian in the tug of war contest. The first match was against Martin, two very quick victories felt like payback for the rugby. The next match was against Briten; this match was slightly harder but still no real worry for the Julian team. The final match was against the eight boys of Nelson. Like Julian, Nelson had a very big row of boys that would have to be defeated if we were to win the tug of war. The tugging began and there appeared to be very little movement between the two sides, both teams seemed to be even so we started to pull properly. Soon enough Julian started to pull the Nelson side and Mr Rumsey called victory. This was the final, which meant that we had won. Winning was especially important to us because we have won our tug of war for the previous two years, making this tug of war the third consecutive win. We later received our medals and 100 points for Julian house.
