The year 8 boys welcomed Thorpe High School for the 1st round of the County Cup. With many players out through injury and no players from year 7 available Flegg were not at full strength. The first half saw the Flegg defence being worked but thanks to some fine defending by Nathan Sheering and Matty Wright who helped keep the score at 0-0 after 20 minutes. Thorpe managed to score twice in quick succession before the break despite some good saves from Connor Blundell. The second half saw Flegg play some good football however the strength and depth of Thorpe was to much to cope with. Thorpe scored another four times resulting in a 6-0 defeat.
