The new season kicked off on the 25th of september. We travelled to Hellesdon High to see if we could reach the next round of the County Cup. 17 boys made the journey with everyone of us playing at sum point. Mr Dodds as always was ever present as our coach.

Newly appointed captain Troy Lacey led the boys onto the pitch with Flegg recieving first half and going up the pitch. We started slowly but it sooned picked up and we finally got the first try of the game thanks to fly-half Sam Rhodes. The conversion was narrowly missed by Ed Allan.

Hellesdon got them selves back in the game in the second half with a try but they as-well missed the conversion. We had an excellent chance to score a second try but Nat Roberts fumbled the ball as he went over the try line. A substitution from Mr Dodds saw Sim Randell in only his second game come in at full back. Flegg were controlling the game but for the life of us we couldnt finish our moves. Until Sim Randell recieved the ball in our own 22, he took the ball and ran the from the 22 wieving in and out of the whole hellesdon team and placing the ball over the try line. This time Ed Allan scored the conversion.

The scoreline does not say how well flegg played and we deserved to have won by much more points. The final score was 12-5 to flegg. Sim Randell saved the day for flegg. Also, a special mention to Seb Roberts who made the step up from year 10 to year 11 and played well.
